New Individual Market Plan — Medica with Healthier YouSM — Introduced in
Sedgwick County

MINNETONKA, Minn. — Medica today announced a new health plan option for individuals and families in Sedgwick County that brings top quality care at a price that is lower than other products in the marketplace. The plan, Medica with Healthier You, will be available starting November 1, 2019 when the Open Enrollment Period for 2020 begins. A variety of benefit design options are available, including copay plans, health savings account compatible plans, and a catastrophic plan for those who qualify. Enrollment in the plan is available through the Health Insurance Marketplace for coverage that starts on or after January 1, 2020.
Medica with Healthier You is available to Kansas residents who live in Sedgwick County.
Medica with Healthier You is a localized care system product built around Ascension Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas, and providers throughout Sedgwick County. Network providers can be found at medica.com/HealthierYouNetwork after October 1, 2019. A complex specialty care program featuring Mayo Clinic will be available and include allowance for transportation, lodging and living expenses in certain cases.
Other key features of the plan include access to online health information, which allows members the ability to schedule appointments, view test results and communicate with doctors. Medica with Healthier You also features the Healthy Living with Medica program, a personalized wellness program with reward opportunities earned for participation, and the Ovia Health app for expectant parents, which provides personalized clinically-based guidance and support for the parenthood journey. Members also have access to a Health Advocate, an individual who helps members address health care concerns and can do the legwork to help identify appropriate providers and find answers to questions about claims, costs, procedures and other health matters.
