New Individual Market Plan, Elevate by Medica, Introduced in Nebraska, Iowa

Network Spans Four Counties

MINNETONKA, Minn. — Medica, in partnership with Methodist Health System and Nebraska Medicine today announced a new health plan option for individuals and families in the greater Omaha/Council Bluffs area. The plan, Elevate by MedicaSM will be available November 1, 2018 when the Open Enrollment Period for 2019 begins. A variety of benefit design options are available, including copay plans, health savings account compatible plans, and a catastrophic plan for those who qualify. Enrollment in the plan is available on the Nebraska and Iowa Health Insurance Marketplaces (HealthCare.gov), through a health insurance agent or directly from Medica (Nebraska residents only) for coverage on or after January 1, 2019.

Elevate by MedicaSM is available to Nebraska residents who live in Douglas County or Sarpy County. It also is available to Iowa residents who live in Mills or Pottawattamie County.

Elevate by MedicaSM members receive care from Methodist Health System and Nebraska Medicine providers The network includes more than 1,900 primary and specialty care doctors and six hospitals. Network providers can be found at Medica.com/IndividualPlans after October 1, 2018 when the "window shopping" period of the 2018 Open Enrollment Period beings.

Other key features of the plan include access to convenience care, a 24/7 nurse line, fitness deals and programs and Health Advocate. A Health Advocate helps members address health care concerns and can do the legwork to help identify appropriate providers and find answers to questions about claims, costs, procedures and other health matters.

Elevate by Medica is an additional offering in 2019 to the several Medica plan options already available to individuals and families in Nebraska and Iowa.
